"Hannah Bronfman is challenging us all to rethink our default standards of beauty and definitions of 'healthy' - and I, for one, couldn't be happier to hear this from another woman of color in the wellness community. Do What Feels Good is a practical, inspirational, and beautiful guidebook to feeling good in your own skin." (Gabrielle Union, actress and best-selling author of We're Going to Need More Wine)

As a food lover, beauty-product addict, exercise junkie, and wellness entrepreneur, Hannah Bronfman practically radiates confidence and health. But she'll be the first one to admit the road to wellness and self-acceptance hasn't been easy. As a woman of color who grew up watching a close family member struggle with an eating disorder, Hannah's had to forge her own path and create her own standards of beauty. What she's learned is this: Healthy is beautiful. And healthy should feel good.Â

In Do What Feels Good, Hannah offers real talk about getting in touch with your body's needs, baring her soul and sharing her story along the way. Hannah provides insight on everything from gut health to nutrition to fitness to skincare, sharing insight from top experts on how to understand your body's unique chemistry so you can fuel it with more of the things that feel good and less of the things that don't.Â

Since delicious food is one of the things that makes everyone feel good, Hannah shares more than 50 of her favorite recipes for healthy hedonism (desserts and cocktails included!). Enlightening, empowering, and educational, this is an approach to wellness that is holistic, hedonistic, and real. Because self-care should not feel self-punishing, and every body deserves to feel good.

If there was a 2018 almanac of (food) trends in the fashion industry for privledged millennials, this would be it.It’s a collection of Instagram posts (selfies) with elongated captions in print. I got my hopes up for thorough learning because I followed HBFIT joyfully. Like maybe the book would have included more collaborations with health experts considering her access and range in network— this book is not that. Its more of a personal blog. I expected more than the classic socialite early 30 year old transitioning to print with recipes, but I’m actually not surprised. I’ll gift it but don’t want it in my collection of books. This is more for the person interested in knowing the socialite Hannah, versus thorough interest in health facts and tips. Nothing you don’t already see in fashion magazines with new food and health trends. The book is not terrible but it’s just not for me. I’m excited for her to continue to grow — I’ll just wait before preordering next time. Skim through it in person because the reviews are vague. The recipes are simple for the person that isn’t a foodie but want to experiment but not feel intimidated.Simply put, this book is for fans of the author.

This book was not worth the buy - the content was uninspired and unoriginal. I follow Hannah on Instagram and love her voice, but it did not come through at all in this book. Really disappointed.I wasn't going to write a review - then I came to this page and was surprised that this book has TONS of glowing, five star reviews. I thought I might have missed something insightful from the book - only took a minute to realize that the 5 stars are ALL from her celebrity friends!!Take it from one plebe to another... this book is not worth your hard earned $20. Keep following her on Instagram instead and you'll be plenty happy.

I thought the book would have included more encouraging stories, Instead it’s just silly come ups from a social lite who fell into DJ’ing which led to her seeking a healthier lifestyle. The ingredients for the recipes are not even realistic for everyday life or the average Joe that Doesn’t want to spend all their money in overly priced “holistic” “natural remedies”. Give me a break. Should of spent my $20 on a healthy meal.

This book reads more like a biography than a healthy living book. It contains a few good tips about enjoying healthy living. However the recipes are not for everyday cooks and use ingredients not readily available and expensive to purchase online. I was looking for a down to basics book and this was not it.

The content was unoriginal, I’ve been into healthy things and feel good foods for a while. She does aknowledge in her intro that these are her favs from a bunch of places but it still feels like stuff I read in a bunch of other places just all compiled together. Also instead of recipe pics just a bunch of pics with her, while she’s pretty I don’t think they are relevant to the recipes, I’d rather like to see how the food will turn out looking like. Also seems to be missing true insight-aka the back story is a bit shallow.

This book was full of typos. It actually got confusing at points because of the amount of typos. Seems like with the amount of editing of photos they would of been able to proofread.

I follow Hannah on Instagram for the pretty pics, but this book made me really admire her. Her voice is so warm and inviting in this book, like having a real conversation with her and what she has learned about wellness, and it’s made me reconsider how I have been approaching my life. This book has a great generalist approach to health - a little bit of everything to get you thinking about your health. Some of the tonics were a bit ridiculous, admittedly, and I will also admit to dropping some clams on adaptogens but it was something I had never considered before. Do what feels food! Do it, or don’t. Just consider maybe she has seen something you haven’t. That’s the point! Try something new, because whatever you’ve been doing all along might not be working. The hydration part was a wake up call - thanks, Hannah, I needed that tough love. My approach has always been to slap some makeup on and pretend there isn’t anything wrong, but she made me think about what is going on internally. It’s a beautiful book - the typeface, the photos, and organized. A good “new year, new you”. It gave me a few moments of me time to read everyday, as a busy mom, I needed a respite.

When you’re a prominent member of the Lucky Sperm Club with the very unlikely great fortune to have been born into the immensely wealthy Bronfman family but not actually having contributed to the family’s wealth, living a shallow, narcissistic life comes easily for Hannah, and, so, a book on helping others, too, live lives of shallow narcissism is only natural.
